The Mičánek Motorsport team in Brno has had a successful racing premiere for the 2017 season. After the successful “Brno Dragon”, he was expecting a team headed by Jiří Mičánek jr., The first circle enterprise, namely the Brno doubles race of the Slovak Circuit Cup.
“We are waiting for the start of the ESET V4 Cup in Hungaroring for a week, so we decided at the last minute to start in the Slovak Circuit Cup here in Brno. We are here at home and so it was part of our duty. In addition, the whole season will end here in September, so we also wanted to collect some of the sharp data, “says team manager Jiří Mičánek jr.
Behind the beautiful Lamborghini Gallardo in two racing rides, Bronislav Formanek used to take all four sharp runs in a fantastic way.
“I always believe in Brno so I was expecting a little bit in the TOP 5. I did not want to think about the box prematurely, because there were many drivers with GT3 specifications, which is a different technique compared to our cup car. In the end, however, I managed to get the second fastest time in both qualifiers as well as two second places in the races, “Bronislav Formanek evaluates in this way his racing.
Formanek went on to finish second in second place behind Slovak Matador Miroslav Konopka (Lamborghini ST5200). He took his start in Brno as part of the preparation for this year’s start in Le Mans, and so he gave up the right to a point gain at the end of the day.
“The car was well designed and worked perfectly perfectly. The situation was so difficult for me to change the weather, because the qualifiers went on water and the races were already dry. “We finished the winter preparations with these races. I’m glad to say that the hundreds of miles that have gone a step further and that we are well prepared for the upcoming race. Bronek has shown that our car is very competitive and that under certain circumstances we can defeat the GT-Troika.
